Cycling
Julie is an avid mountain biker. Ever since she first discovered mountain biking in 2007, she has been drawn toward adventurous long days in the saddle and technical terrain. Her race season mainly focuses on a couple of 100 mile challenges, with 8 hour and some shorter XC, gravel grinders and Enduro races in the mix.
She has been a vegan for roughly 4 years, and a vegetarian long before that. She became a vegan mainly for animal welfare, but discovered that ditching the dairy had the desirable side-effect of curing her migraine headaches.
When she is not riding her bike, she is working as a software engineer helping her company’s clients move into the cloud, writing a blog and the occasional article for Adventure Sports Journal. You can follow her on Instagram: @shredchic.
